Making the Mousse
- In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more maple syrup.
- Once blended, transfer the mousse to individual serving bowls or glasses.
- Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up slightly and enhance flavors.
Serving the Mousse
- Before serving, garnish the mousse with chocolate chips, a dollop of coconut whipped cream, and fresh mint leaves if desired.
