  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey for sweetness
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or any plant-based milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for added flavor
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt to balance flavors
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips dairy-free if desired
  • 2 tablespoons coconut whipped cream optional, for serving

Method
 

Making the Mousse
  1. In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more maple syrup.
  3. Once blended, transfer the mousse to individual serving bowls or glasses.
  4. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up slightly and enhance flavors.
Serving the Mousse
  1. Before serving, garnish the mousse with chocolate chips, a dollop of coconut whipped cream, and fresh mint leaves if desired.
