Prepare the Overnight Oats
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Divide the oat mixture evenly into four jars or containers with lids.
- Seal the containers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the oats to soak and soften.
Prepare the Toppings
- If using cream cheese drizzle, in a small bowl, mix cream cheese with 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth and pourable.
- When ready to serve, remove the oats from the refrigerator and top each serving with chopped nuts, dried fruit, and a drizzle of cream cheese if desired.
Notes
These overnight oats can be customized with different toppings like fresh fruit, nut butter, or seeds. For a vegan version, substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt and use maple syrup as the sweetener.
