Preparation and Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas with olive oil. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated.
- Add smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the chickpeas. Mix until all the chickpeas are well seasoned.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the chickpeas are golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These chickpeas can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. For added flavor, try experimenting with different spices such as cumin or chili powder. You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice for a zesty finish!
