Turkey and Hummus Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup hummus store-bought or homemade
  • 1 large head of lettuce romaine, butter, or iceberg
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, sliced bell peppers, olives

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground turkey, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the turkey is fully cooked and no longer pink. Season with cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. While the turkey cooks, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Set aside.
  3. Once the turkey is cooked, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Assemble the wraps by spreading a generous layer of hummus onto each lettuce leaf. Top with a portion of the cooked turkey mixture and any additional toppings you desire.
  5. Fold the lettuce leaves over the filling and enjoy your Turkey and Hummus Lettuce Wraps immediately.
