Ingredients
Method
Preheat the Waffle Iron
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves (if using), and salt until well combined.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, milk, eggs, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Combine the Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
Cook the Waffles
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or melted butter.
- Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron (using the amount specified by your waffle maker), close the lid, and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, about 3-5 minutes depending on your waffle maker.
Serve
- Serve the Pumpkin Spice Waffles hot, topped with a drizzle of maple syrup, whipped cream, chopped pecans or walnuts, and a dusting of cinnamon. Enjoy!

Notes/Advice:
- Additions/Subtractions:
- You can adjust the spices to your liking—add more cinnamon or nutmeg for a stronger flavor, or reduce the amount for a milder taste.
- If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk to thin it out to the desired consistency.
- For a crunchier texture, you can add 1/4 cup of chopped nuts directly into the batter.
