Ingredients
  

For the Smoked Salmon Rolls
  • 8 thin slices of smoked salmon
  • 1 large cucumber sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 tbsp capers for a tangy kick
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion for extra flavor
Substitutions

Method
 

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture
  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. If using, stir in capers and/or chopped red onion.
Assemble the Smoked Salmon Rolls
  1. Lay a slice of smoked salmon flat on a clean surface.
  2. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over the salmon.
  3. Roll the salmon tightly into a log.
  4. Repeat with the remaining slices of salmon.
Slice and Serve on Cucumber
  1. Slice each salmon roll into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Place each roll upright on a cucumber slice.
  3. Secure with a toothpick if needed for stability.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Garnish each salmon roll with a sprig of fresh dill or a small piece of lemon zest.
  2. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.
